I have to be honest. When I first had lunch at the newly opened Vincent last year, I was a little underwhelmed. So it has taken me a while to venture back. But doing a complete turnaround, I’ve now placed Vincent on my favourites list for a very remarkable weekday lunch.

Yes, it’s still a more expensive working lunch than competitors nearby and serves are still small. But it is just so worth it!
The service is smooth. The decor classy. The menu sublime. And it is refreshingly lovely to leave feeling comfortable, but well satisfied by the well constructed dishes that brilliantly combine thoughtful ingredients. It’s a fine dining experience at just a bit more than a mid-range price. To enjoy such luxury in the midst of the bustle of work is just such a treat.
The two course Express lunch for $30 per person is available Wednesday to Friday. The menu changes but there’s always a choice of three dishes for both courses.
The day we visited it was hard to choose, but this is my TOP TIP – Choose different dishes and share all the choices. Of course it would be perfect to take two friends and share all the dishes on offer!!!
For the first course we choose the Peking duck with coriander, chilli, orange and cashew. This was our favourite.
But the Dutch carrots with cheese noise, sumac and macadamia was also beautiful and delicious.
For second course we shared the Chicken breast with eggplant chutney, parsnip and pickled jam which was the stand out second course.
The Pan fried gnocchi (ricotta we guessed) was also excellent and did provide a welcome contrasting flavour with its caramelised onion, rocket pesto and goats cheese.
Well that’s it! I’m now spoilt for anything less!
