An excellent small share plate to choose is the signature dish Ash baked eggplant, puffed rice, edamame, sesame sauce $18.

The side dish Brussel sprouts, chickpeas, buttermilk dressing is equally delicious and great value at only $12.

Brussel sprouts, chickpeas, buttermilk dressing is equally delicious and great value at only $12 at No 1 Bent Street

The Chargrilled arrow squid, pea and nduja stuffing $24 small plate is good, but next time I’d order a differnt dish.

Don’t miss Mike’s sourdough, cultured salted butter $4. Made in house it really is very good.

For dessert the Vanilla rice pudding, sugar plum jam $14  is a signature dessert that has been on the menu since it opened. But there are also othe good options on the menu.

Alternate menu for those who’d prefer to skip dessert

If you’d prefer more main dish and not to have dessert then this alternate menu could work well.

Ash baked eggplant, puffed rice, edamame, sesame sauce $18

Spit roast chicken vinaigrette $37 (a signature dish) (or other large plate)

Brussel sprouts, chickpeas, buttermilk dressing $12

Mike’s sourdough, cultured salted butter $4

The serving staff at No 1 Bent Street are lovely, very professional and accomodating. They create a welcoming yet stylish and elegant atmosphere that’s a real treat for lunch in the city.
