Gingerboy – the best dessert in Melbourne?
Spread the love

How good is it when you don’t have to choose just one dessert – you can have it all! Gingerboy is the best at this. Their dessert share plate for about $40 has it all. This has got to be their super power!

Some interesting share plates to try are the kingfish tataki, bandit caramel, roasted rice and salmon eggs $21
…and the crispy pork belly bao burgers with pickles, hot sauce.
But sadly not so much the gingerboy slaw with chilli, lime and coconut pickle $9.50. That was a wasted opportunity.
I wish we’d order some of the interestingly filled dumplings like the exotic mushroom dumplings with dark chilli jam (3 pieces) or the king ora salmon and barramundi dumplings with tamarind shrimp dressing.

The gingerboy dessert share plate

For $39.50, this is really enough for several people to share and includes….

Coconut pudding, honey comb, thai basil sorbet
Dark chocolate tofu cheesecake, chilli cherry sorbet, coconut kiss (my favourite)
Lemongrass pudding, blueberries, macadamia, crème fraiche
Poached pear, orange cremeux, honey ice cream, gingerbread
White chocolate parfait, salted peanut dulce, raspberry bombe
